KIDDIE PARADE

NEW RULES AND SOME NEW CATEGORIES!
EACH child must have a signed waiver prior to the parade.
Waivers can be downloaded online by clicking here
(PDF), picked up at the registration table, or will be available
at a local business.
EACH child will be entered in a special PRIZE
drawing to be announced that evening! Watch for posters!
NO FARM WAGONS OR FARM TRACTORS
Judging will be based on neatness, theme, originality, artistic
ability and general appeal. Children are encouraged to help
in the design. Registration will be from 5:30 to 6 pm. Parade
moves at 6:30 p.m.
Floats, displays and vehicles MUST BE PLACED
IN LINE BY 6 p.m.
There will be preliminary judging as the parade forms.
Every entrant 14 years or younger will receive
a Free Ticket for a ride. Photos taken will be on display
in the Legion Hall Thursday through Saturday. Entrants may
pick up their photo after 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Prizes awarded in each category are: 1st = $20;
2nd = $15; 3rd = $10; HM = $5
Winners in each category will be asked to lead
the Grand Parade on Saturday. Winners will form at 11:30 a.m.,
by the bingo tent, and move at 12:30 p.m. Everyone will have
time to get to their seats for the Grand Parade.
CATEGORIES
- A "Wheel" Adventure – bikes, trikes,
baby strollers or anything with a wheel emphasis
- The Good OLE Days (things of the past)
- Radio, TV, Movies and Commercials
- Storybook Characters
- Small Floats
- Patriotic - design using red, white and blue
- Going Green –using recycled materials only
- Duct Tape Creations (Limited number of entrants, Special
Rules apply, MUST contact a committee member first!)
