2010 Pemberville Fair
Royalty Applicants
Matt Szymanski
Matt lives in Pemberville with his mom, Sarah, and his siblings.
This fall Matt will begin his junior year at Penta County
Vocational, enrolling in the med -tech program. He plans on
attending college after graduation to further his education
in the medical field. In addition to school, Matt is employed
at The Medicine Shoppe in Pemberville. In his spare time he
likes to help people in any way he can, and enjoys time with
friends. A self proclaimed saver, Matt will be saving his
ticket sales commission for the future.

Kelsey Appelhans
Kelsey lives in Pemberville with her parents, Joe and Katty
Applehans, and her two sisters. This fall she will be a senior
at Eastwood High School. When her senior year is complete
she plans on attending a four year college and majoring in
pre-med. Currently Kelsey keeps very busy cheerleading, running
cross country and track, assisting with Bible school and her
involvement in the Eastwood FFA. In her quest to save for
college, she is employed at Wood County Hospital and Front
Street Café. The money Kelsey earns from the Royalty
Contest will help with her college expenses.

Jason Booth
Jason lives in Pemberville and is the son of Vernita Booth
and Jason Zedaker. This fall he will begin his senior year
at Penta County Vocational School. Jason’s spare time
is consumed by Eastwood track and field, Teen Institute, Penta
Public Safety/ Criminal Justice, Skill USA, Mock Trail, Junior
Fairboard and other volunteer work. After graduation, Jason
plans on attending the University of Toledo. The money Jason
earns from the Royalty Contest will be partly donated to a
non- profit organization and the rest will go to college.
If you have the opportunity to speak with Jason, you may wish
to ask him about being caged with a bear!
