This year’s Grand Parade is open to all, with registration beginning at 8:00 am until 11:30 am at the Pemberville Elementary School (North Entrance).

Guidelines governing this year’s parade…
Entrants are encouraged to pre-register in advance. Please find the attached entry form for this year’s parade.
All participants MUST register/report in at the registration table
(Pemberville Elementary) the day of the event.
(Parade lineup numbers are assigned at this time)
All units must be in line by Noon the day of the parade.
Antique Vehicles entered will receive a participation ribbon.
Pre-Registered participating marching bands will receive a financial stipend to help defray travel expenses. Bands also have the option of participating in the Marching Band Extravaganza prior to this year’s parade.
Float categories will include:
Churches, Commercial, Organizations & Youth Groups
Best Float Overall - $500
First place $150, Second place $125 and Third place $100.
Entries meeting the requirements of a “float” and not placing
will be awarded $90.
Minimum size of a float is 8’ x 10’ (if competing for a prize or to receive entry money).
Floats will be judged on theme, color & tonality, composition, originality, and overall general appearance.
Awards will be given based on the judges’ interpretation of the unit.
Floats must be in line by 11:30 am for preliminary judging.
Participating twirling units will compete for awards as they pass the main reviewing stand in the downtown district.
All units must perform as they pass – no stopping in front of the reviewing stand!
First place receives $150, Second place $125 and Third place $100.
Units not placing in the competition will be awarded $90 to help defray
travel expenses.
A special feature twirler award will also be given.
Shrine Units will receive a donation for their participation.
Equestrian / Livestock Units must supply their own clean-up.
Use of sirens during the parade are prohibited. (Sirens signal an emergency.)
Water balloons and water guns are strictly prohibited.
The Pemberville Fair Board / Grand Parade Committee shall be held harmless for any accident/injury associated with this year’s Grand Parade. Individuals, Organizations and/or Units participate at their own risk.
Those not following the rules set forth will be removed from the parade.
All decisions by the Fair Board / Parade Committee are final.
